About · New York, NY
A contractor’s approach to energy.
My Own Energy Grid, also known as HV Off Grid Energy, is run by James “JC” Jacobini in New York, NY. Every design is drawn for the house it’s going on, around American-made equipment wherever it exists, and checked by a person before it goes out.
We sell plans and guides so you can do the same, and we install for homeowners who’d rather we did.
Principles
How we work.
We tell you where it’s made
Every product we recommend shows its factory and its owner.
We don’t sell leases
You should own what’s on your roof. We’ll show you the math either way.
Plans you can take anywhere
The design package is yours. Build it, bid it out, or have us install it.

Straight answers
If solar doesn’t make sense for your house, we’ll say so.
